I See Trouble I alway look in and you alway go out Your mind is made up, but mine’s full of doubt I see trouble, coming round the bend I see trouble, coming round the bend I can see a bright future, but it don’t include you I’m like a car and I’m stuck on your track You’re a freight train and you’re coming my way I see trouble, coming round the bend I see trouble, coming round the bend I can see a bright future, but it don’t include you I see trouble, coming round the bend I see trouble, coming round the bend I can see a bright future, but it don’t include you Things are looking grim, I can feel it in my bones I’m T-boned and wrecked, like the midnight express I see trouble, coming round the bend I see trouble, coming round the bend I can see a bright future, but it don’t include you Black cat on my path, black dog on the road Blackbird in the tree, flying away from me I see trouble, coming round the bend I see trouble, coming round the bend I can see a bright future, but it don’t include you © John Pringle 2019

The Road to Tuba City Car wrecks, blue coffee pots Bullet holes in cowboy hats I saw a lost man, trying to find his way home Trying to find his way home, to Tuba City Living wild, not living free No place to go & everything to see The population is 49….. There’s 2 roads in & no way out No road leading out, from Tuba City Mile high sky, living on the edge The sign on the wall says you can use your gun But when the shooting starts, you better take good aim That’s what they were saying, in Tuba City Two good old boys in a pickup truck Drinking beer & passing the time Open another one, looking out for the law That’s how it goes, on the way to Tuba City The desert is like, a beating heart Full of beauty & pain, in need of rain Like a lover, cold & hot Red, Red dust, on the road to Tuba City Red, Red dust, on the road to Tuba City Red, Red dust, on the road to Tuba City © John Pringle

TV Eye Said to my friend, I can’t talk to you now Can’t you see I’m watching the Comedy Hour Nothing matters much to me I’ve got my eyes on the screen I’ve got my eyes on my colour TV I’m seeing visions, I’m dreaming dreams All on the screen of my colour TV Keep that TV eye on me I won’t have it Any other way Friends come over and see me I’ll say sit over there No, not that one, thats my television chair I’m seeing visions, I’m dreaming dreams All on the screen of my colour TV Comic book violence, people tortured and screaming Wake up in the night, is it real or am I dreaming I’m seeing visions One screens got hate The other got love I’m seeing visions, I’m dreaming dreams All on the screen of my colour TV © John Pringle 2018

about

As a band we love the fun & freedom of playing live. In essence, this recording is a snapshot of a day in the life of a blues band. We setup, plugged in and played a live set but without the crowd. Most songs were done in 2 or 3 takes.
In the true blues tradition we tried to keep things tight, but loose enough to know that we were still having fun!.....Hope you enjoy.
